Head of OTC Treasury and Operations
•Responsible for managing all assets tied to the OTC desk, including cash and multiple cryptocurrencies. The OTC desk provides OTC liquidity in cryptocurrencies to multiple counterparties, and hedges using both cash and futures.
•Creation of risk and PnL model that broadcasts real time positions and risk throughout the firm. Created utilizing SQL, Excel and VBA.
•Manage coin inventory across multiple exchanges and internal custody solutions. Work with head trader to efficiently monitor and transfer inventory as needed.
•Serve as second trader on desk when head trader unavailable or in times of high volumes.
•Created reconciliation tools used throughout the firm to confirm daily PnL and risk.
•Assist with onboarding of new counterparties.

DV TRADING, LLC - New York, NY Jun 2016 – May 2018
Treasurer and Head of Fixed Income Risk
•As Treasurer reported directly to the DV Partners and CFO. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of cash flow management for each DV entity, as well as FX hedging. In addition, assumed the role of head of Fixed Income risk, and managing DV Energy risk at FCMs.
•Created daily treasury summary for consumption by DV partners and CFO outlining daily cash flows, margin allocation across all FCMs, and various other vital data to allow decisions to be made quickly and efficiently daily.
•Streamlined multiple processes through automation, including creating new databases with vital data from FCMs, and adding VBA macros to various spreadsheets to increase efficiency and reporting.
•Process all wires and ACHs daily for the firm in both USD and non-USD.
•Oversaw Fixed Income risk of 35+ traders, across multiple pods. Implemented system to allocate risk and balance sheet based on trader capital at the firm, and created new risk parameters to limit firm exposure. Instituted new processes to accurately track live PnL by asset class and specific line item positions to help identify price breaks or other top day trade issues.
•Managed the migration of all Fixed Income traders from Rosenthal Collins Group to DV Trading, LLC in 1.5 months.
•Responsible for maintaining and onboarding all Fixed Income relationships, including OTC counterparties (both inter-dealer brokers and Broker Dealers) as well as electronic vendors such as BrokerTec, E-Speed, GX2 etc. Onboarded over 25 new cash bond counterparties.
•Created numerous EOD Fixed Income reports to identify operational issues top day, such as an FICC unmatched report. The report resulted in reducing T+1 breaks by over 85%.
•Streamlined process to identify errors in FCM margining, specifically the VaR calculation for energy products. Worked with DV developer to transpose FCM data into a usable framework and created reports which led to a capital savings of 10mm+ within two months of project inception. The same procedures are now being leveraged by the risk department for equities margin at FCMs.
•Trade exchange listed options boxes, applicable hedges and single name equities to increase firm PnL. 2017 combined PnL of +$175K using 100mm debit TE for boxes and 5K in DV computed VaR. Worked with developer to create internal DV funding curve as well as FedFunds forward rate curve to accurately predict carry from box trades, as well as developed a tool to strip boxes into FF futures equivalents for proper hedging.
•Oversaw all aspects of onboarding two new fixed income groups to DV (20 traders and 4 traders respectively). Worked to incorporate new traders into the current DV framework, as well as coordinated with IT team to ensure electronic trading was correctly implemented. Also assisted CFO and legal in creation of new legal entity for tax purposes.
•Worked with multiple groups within DV such as compliance and legal on various projects as necessary. As the point person for many projects and onboarding ensured all necessary groups were involved to ensure no operational or legal missteps.
•Revamped the firms monthly margin charges methodology to an automated process reducing calculation time from two weeks to two days. Also corrected errors in previous methodology to correctly charge traders for margin and capital usage.
•Trained new fixed income analyst to assist with day to day operations, and cross trained the analyst for back up on treasury tasks.
DRW TRADING, LLC - New York, NY & Chicago, IL Jun 2014 – Jan 2016
Trader – Crude Oil Futures Desk
•Worked on a two-man team providing liquidity in multiple energy products for both futures and swaps on NYMEX and ICE exchanges across the whole crude barrel, including - WTI crude, Brent crude, Heating Oil, RBOB gasoline, Gas Oil and Fuel Oil.
•Added stochastic analysis and RV analysis to the desks strategies to increase proprietary trading PnL.
•Played a major role in the process of taking over a Fuel Oil book of one of the world’s largest Fuel Oil producers. Assisted both the Crude Futures and Crude Options desks in migrating positions into DRW framework as well as modeling out the risk for all the new products previously never traded by the firm.
Assistant Treasurer Apr 2011 – May 2014
•Reported directly to the DRW Partners, functioning as the internal bank within the firm. The treasury attempted to maximize resources within the unique business structure of DRW by setting internal funding and balance sheet rates.
•Reconciliation of RWA calculations with FCMs/prime brokers.
•Responsible for trading exchange traded boxes (and related hedges) to maximize Total Equity efficiency among clearing firms and earn profit for the house. In addition, managed the daily Total Equity balances and Net Liquidation values across all FCMs and all DRW entities.
•Oversaw new and existing counterparty relationships; both bi-lateral and prime brokerage.
•Created process to optimize placement of 20BN in balance sheet for DRW fixed income desks across multiple clearing firms. Products included US Treasuries, CAD, EUR and JPY sovereign debt.
•Developed new and innovative ways to increase gross balance sheet through clearing relationships and FICC membership.
