Unisys Data Migration – Unisys Product integration in Ingenium

Client: Leading life insurance client in Japan

Unisys is a legacy Insurance system which was used for policy administration. Since the maintenance cost of the old system and the integration with the Unisys with the modern system seems to be challenge for the administration. The organization decided to cut off the Unisys and maintain the policy in the Ingenium system. Unisys is a policy admin system was maintained for close to 20 years in the policy administration and has close to 1 billion group policies with various status. Initial study done on the various group of policies and data mapping done for the Ingenium and Unisys system. The required product set up was done in Ingenium to move the Unisys products and policies are migrated. After the data migration to Ingenium multiple trial runs are executed in both Ingenium and Unisys to ensure the both systems are in sync.

The agency portal is the new application developed in Web, iOS and Android platform. It is a Sales and Service application, which enables the agent to login in to the system and enable him tracking the day today activities which involves renewal follow up, new business follow-up, Birthday alerts, New business quote process. The Agency portal has the special dash board to highlight the Sales progress, Renewal progress and premium comparison and performance comparison.

The agency portal was integrated with various exiting system like Fire quote, learning management and claim system and Admin system. The map function is enabled to locate the service provider based on the product. The email, SMS function are enabled in the agency portal to forward the document, receipts and send the greeting to the customers.

Initially the product was created for the agent login then the same system was upgraded to login for the Marketer, Lead Marketer, and agency management. The dashboards are created for various combination and which is customizable according to the login profile.

The Quality Management will be applied throughout the development life cycle.

Project Objective – Ingenium 7.3 Development - (May 2009 – April 2010)

The objective of the ‘Ingenium 7.3 - is to resolve the existing deferred Product Change Requests and apply enhancements to the Ingenium application. Ingenium 7.3 development is mainly concentrating the Indian based modification. Along with that the new xml form of TFSA report was released for US.

Project Objective – Ingenium 7.2 Development - (Aug 2008 – April 2009)

The objective of the Ingenium 7.2 - is to resolve the existing deferred Product Change Requests and apply enhancements to the Ingenium application. Ingenium 7.2 development is mainly concentrating the System based customization. Worked on the Rate header customization and PX related calculation changes.

Project Objective – Ingenium 7.1 Development - (Aug 2007 – July 2008)

The objective of the Ingenium 7.1 - is to resolve the existing deferred Product Change Requests and apply enhancements to the tax calculation rules of CVAT (Cash value accumulation Test) and MEC Two Years Look back processing and 7Pay premium calculation.
