● China Unicom is the world's fourth-largest mobile service provider by subscriber base

● Designed, developed and deployed a new “like and suggestion” function using HTML and javascript. This new feature was launched internally and externally with huge improvements to the user experience for over 10k users

● Contributed over 500 lines of code, improved 20% of the original webpage’s functionality

● Remodeled, tested, and improved a machine learning program using Python, reduced running time from 3 mins to 30 secs by running program in multiple processes and optimized the insert MySQL statement by changing only 10 lines of code

● Increased the whole program’s efficiency and accuracy by 83% under Linux development environment, and tripled the prediction accuracy

Circle: a Cloud and React based Social Network Nov/2018 Frontend

● Designed and implemented a geo-based social network web application with React JS.

● Implemented features for users to create and browse posts and support search nearby posts (Ant Design, GeoLocation API and Google Map API.)

Backend

● Launched a scalable web service in Go to handle posts and deployed to Google Cloud (GAE flex)

● Used ElasticSearch (GCE) to provide geo-location based search functions

● Built the platform utilizing a combination of TCP, P2P, Socket, and Multithreading with Python generated a server that handled multiple connections from multiple clients, kept track of the registered users by adding them to a file, and displayed online clients on every connected client’s interface

● Clients can upload a list of files to the server, can request a list of files available from server, can connect to client

‘B’ directly without server to retrieve specific file by the concept of P2P

● Final result was a full functioning IM and File Sharing platform that can handle up to multi users connecting and multi files sharing
