Senior Software Developer / Senior Business Analyst 2004 – 2018

Led software development projects. Advanced Release Management initiatives. Integration planning on large business unit acquisitions and divestitures. Recognized as a business intelligence SME.

Business Intelligence: Functional SME between business and development. Developed functional and non-functional requirements, provided technical and business design approvals. Warehouse was built upon Oracle, Informatica, and Business Objects. Designed and built Business Objects reports. Consolidated customer lists, sales, and revenue across 13 Tax and Accounting business units which enabled management to reallocate 15 resources and standardize monthly metric reporting.

Transition Management: Developed and executed detailed transition plans on large scale, highly visible projects, migrating large portions of the Thomson Reuters business onto corporate CRM/OTC systems. One project saved the company over $1,000,000 per year in hardware and licensing costs. Another project migrated 12 smaller acquisitions onto SAP/Salesforce OTC application eliminating many redundancies.

Legacy Reporting Redesign: Redeveloped legacy SAS processes using MS SSIS / SSRS, and Business Objects. Reduced department costs by eliminating aging hardware and standardizing reporting using corporate business intelligence infrastructure.

Release Management: Executed monthly deployments for two Salesforce Order Management systems. Worked closely with development team to troubleshoot and correct deployment issues. Completed Salesforce Admin training. Enabled the business to move toward standardizing all releases on a unified monthly schedule.

SQL Server Refresh: As Project Manager, developed the project schedule, managed development resources, architected SQL Server SSIS / SSRS environment. Project included standing up new hardware, modernizing all legacy ETL processes and decommissioning outdated hardware.

Tax and Accounting Data Warehouse: Designed and developed a data warehouse, integrating customer and financial data. Solution built on SQL Server, SSIS, Analysis Services and MS Proclarity. Enabled the Tax and Accounting business to consolidate their customer base across 5 business units and analyze cross sell opportunities.

Corporate Finance: Supported the corporate budgeting and forecasting application as SQL Server DBA, Managed software rollouts, backups, and performed troubleshooting.

Data Quality: Managed installation of SAP Data Services, used to cleanse, dedupe and validate corporate data. Developed web services which were integrated into OTC systems to improve data integrity.
