THESIS PROJECT WORK
“OPTIMIZATION OF PROCESS PAREMETER OF ‘CNC WIRE
CUT WEDM’ MACHINE USING NILO 42 ALLOY”
an experimental investigation to determine the parameters setting during the machining of NILO 42 alloy consists of 42% nickel and is characterized by a low and constant co-efficient of thermal expansion from room temperature. The Taguchi method, a powerful tool for experimental design, is used to optimize the CNC-wire cut-EDM parameters. According to the Taguchi quality design Concept, a L18 (21 37) mixed orthogonal array was used to determine the S/N ratio, and an analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the F-test values were used to indicate the significant machining parameters affecting the machining performance. From experimental results and through ANOVA and F-test values, the significant factors are determined for each machining performance criteria, such as the metal removal rate, surface roughness, gap current and spark gap (gap width).

PROJECT UNDERTAKEN
Design, development and fabrication of OIL HEAT EXCHANGER
to design about simple Heat Exchanger for beverage and process industry application is presented. The design of STHE includes thermal design and mechanical design. The thermal design of STHE involves evaluation of required effective surface area (i.e. number of tubes) and finding out log mean temperature difference [LMTD]. Whereas, the mechanical design includes the design of main shell under internal & external pressure, tube design, baffles design gasket, etc.
