From November 1, 1996 through May 31, 1999 as a member of the Corporate Real Estate Dept. at NationsCredit Corporation (subsidiary of Bank of America), worked directly under the supervision of Chris George, Senior Vice President. My responsibilities included: (i) review, negotiation and preparation of real estate documentation (e.g., leases, lease amendments, subleases, lease assignments, lease buy-outs/terminations, default letters, estoppels, subordination agreements, renewal letters, month-to-month letters, sales contracts, broker agreements, parking agreements, etc. for all nationwide branch locations); (ii) assisted in design of lease management database and supervision of database maintenance; (iii) supervision of rent management; (iv) conversion of real estate files and supervision of file maintenance; (v) preparation of annual rental budget for all branches; (vi) preparation of status reports; (vii) performed lease interpretation; (viii) preparation of lease abstracts; (ix) performed due diligence related to branch sales; and (x) coordination with in-house legal department and outside legal counsel regarding various matters. [The department was outsourced as of October 31, 1998, but I continued to work on the transition team fulfilling a variety of functions, until transferring to the Legal Department in Bank of America.]

Working with Linda Zimmerman, V. P. and Bill Lamm, V. P., my responsibilities included (i) abstracting of all leases and management of facilities database; (ii) performed lease interpretation; (iii) negotiation and drafting of various legal documents, (e.g., renewal letters, downsize requests, lease amendments, contract extensions, lease termination agreements, letters of intent, tenant leases, subleases, default letters, and lease purchase and sale transactions); (iv) review and coordination with legal department regarding lease agreements, purchase and sale contracts, easement agreements, escrow agreements, utility agreements, estoppel letters, and subordination agreements; (v) performed rent management, (vi) assisted in preparation of annual budget for all bank branches; (vii) performed due diligence related to bank acquisitions, purchases, ground leases, and coordination with brokers and title companies regarding same; (viii) preparation and upkeep of status reports; and (ix) conversion of real estate files and supervision of file maintenance. [Due to a corporate restructure, my job was relocated to Columbus, Ohio, and I declined the opportunity to move.]

From August 1992 through February 1993, I worked with Bank One – Facilities Department, under the supervision of Linda Zimmerman. My responsibilities included review and summarization of all bank leases and third party leases for Bank One and Team Bank (subsequently merged), assisting in the preparation of a database for tracking, report and tickler purposes; preparation of lease amendments and various lease management issues.
From April 1993 through June 1993, I worked for the law firm of Kane, Russell, Coleman & Logan, under the supervision of Ray Kane. My responsibilities included drafting of shopping center leases, summarizing leases, review of title and survey, preparation of title objection letters, preparation of closing binders for purchases and/or leases, and assisting in upkeep of status reports.
From June 1993 through May 1994, I worked with attorney Norris Lozano in connection with CoWest Mortgage Corp. My responsibilities included closing coordinator, closer and funder with the mortgage company, preparation of closing policies and procedures, assisted in preparation of Correspondent Manual, interviewing of applicants for the closing department and subsequent training, coordinating licensing issues in twenty-six different states, programming and management of document production department, compiling of corporate records, and attending to various legal matters concerning the mortgage company. I also assisted Mr. Lozano with the purchase, loan, marketing and other various legal matters concerning a national car wash manufacturer.

Worked directly under the supervision of Mark Murray, partner, who had a diverse client base consisting of lending institutions and real estate developers. While at this firm, I (i) drafted complete loan modification document packages, contracts of sale and amendments thereto, contract summaries, (ii) prepared closing documents for purchase and sale transactions, leases and amendments thereto, lease summaries, foreclosure documents and corporate documents, (iii) conducted regular contact with title companies, clients and assisted in client billings, and (iv) prepared tracking reports and closing binders. Also, I handled the negotiation and preparation of shopping center leases for tenants at the Westshore Mall in Holland, Michigan for Bramalea Centers, a client I brought to the firm. [The firm dissolved on July 31, 1992.]
