The USAA is a diversified financial services group of companies offering banking, investing, and insurance to people and families who serve, or served, in the United States military.

The project named General-Purpose Mart is the structure that performs the integration and data cleansing of a data warehouse, built for consumption to answer general purpose questions on bank data. The modules worked on product wise - Credit Card, Consumer loan, Deposit, Real estate- Home Loans and Mortgage - Origination, Transaction, Servicing data. The effort is to extract the source file, profile the data, model the data as per requirement and load the data in to target state.

ETL Factory Work Order Ingestion is to bring in Bank data through work orders from various point forward data sources like Mainframes, BODDH Databases (Bank Operational Data Distribution Hub) and Historical Data from IBM Netezza, SAS and other databases to Bank

Foundation Layer.

Data Load to BODDH (Operation Data Store)- building the Operation Data Store BODDH for requested products. Also carried out work on going enhancements and maintenance.

Desktop Underwriter (DU) is a tool that provides lenders a comprehensive credit risk assessment that determines whether a loan meets Fannie Mae’s eligibility requirements.

Collateral Underwriter (CU) provides an automated risk assessment of an appraisal report to support proactive management of appraisal quality.

The desktop Underwriter was the loan-underwriting engine where Lender makes decision whether to approve a loan or not. When Lender submits their loan data into the system, the system is run through regression and statistical analysis. Decisions are based on the result of the analysis.
