Solid modelling and surface modelling (PDD 220)
Surface extraction for cover and cases of machine tools. Work holding Fixture design, mounting brackets, coupling joints, machine linkages using both SOLIDWORKS and CATIA.
Aero foil design using data from excel and generating surfaces in CATIA for aerodynamic analysis. Plastic materials and processes and Injection molding – (PDD)
Materials testing of plastics and Excel based small database creation for testing of plastics organizing graph plots from UTM, drop test, Izod impact test for various specimens such as PP,PS, 5% paper with PP etc., (aged and fresh out of mold). Operated the thermoforming machine, Hot press and Injection molding machines for taking sample products for many plastic components.
3d modelling of mold boxes, detailing in CAD drawings and used CNC machine fabricate molds for the same to mold several sample parts in Injection molding machines. Practical knowledge about mold tool bases, sprue, different mold tool cavities. Learnt calculation for Cooling requirements of the mold. Also, Learnt about DMADV application in design phases of Fans blades using a case study.

Geometric Dimensions and Tolerance - (PDD 220)
Have basic 3D modelling knowledge in cavity design for molds. Created BOM for injection molding tools and made reports relevant to design for manufacturability. Studied to create drawings for snap fit components.
Created templates using VB and Excel for creating R chart, X bar chart and other techniques for quality monitoring and control. Got Web diagrams and scatter diagrams for mapping the close and other proximal factors for good and wrong outcomes in a product.
