Postal Clerk 2015-2017
My job as a Postal Clerk is process and scan over 5000 pieces postal mail, plus Amazon packages daily, this include making sure that each piece get place in the corrected containers for daily deliveries. Mail/packages, also comes in with incorrect documentation, it’s my job to correct the problems; so customers can receive their mail/packages without delays. The vendors/postal departmental vehicles arrive at the post office seven times daily, seven days a week. My job is to scan the vehicle for arrival time and assist in off-loading the mail in a timely matter; each truck has to be documented for proof of deliveries. I am very familiar with the use of hand held scanners. I also treat each driver with respect; if you want to get there respect as well. This is what the postal service is lacking throughout their system, respect. My manager and supervisor put their trust in me by giving me keys to the building and security gates after only one month of employment.

My job as Warehouse Manager is to ensure that all vehicles are properly inspected and maintained for daily services, by making sure that supplies are order and staged for next day deliveries; also make sure good housekeeping is maintained in the warehouse daily; as well as the neatness of the outside grounds. There are over 1300 shop tools and welding equipment that are properly maintained, inventoried and barcoded, by the use of “Checkmate Barcode System,” this equipment is use on various jobs for Naval Vessels repairs. My job also entails receiving, shipping, forklift operator, inventory of incoming and outgoing supplies. I am very knowledgeable in the uses of various commercial shipping such as FedEx, UPS, and DHL. As a manager, I have to keep a positive attitude toward customers and co-worker. My good leadership skills are set at a high standard and that’s where it is going to stay. I put out 100% effort for my employer’s by sometimes coming in early or staying late to get the job done; that’s what I expect from my workers, if needed.

My job as a selector is to supplies cold products to military commissaries located on the Eastern Coast of the United States. This includes picking frozen and chill products using a Vocollect headset and a battery operated riding pallet jack, this system would call out the product to be pick. Once the product is received, it is inspected, packed and loading on trailers for deliveries. Some of the products get put in the wrong locations; it is then put in frustrated status. I would use a handheld scanner to scan the barcode labels for the correct location. After working in the freezer for (8) years it took a toll on body, I took a ((6) months break between jobs for health reasons.
