Position: Application Engineer/Sales Rep

USWater (Pensacola, FL) August 2017 – Present

Manage and service many different accounts around the Pensacola, Panama City, Destin, and Tallahassee areas. Work with cooling towers, closed loop cooling/heating systems, boilers, and chillers. Test water samples to insure certain parameters are within control ranges. Trouble shoot system problems and take action to correct them. Experience with chemical cleaning boilers, chillers, and cooling towers. Completed and passed internal 21 in 12 program to prove knowledge and understanding of AWT manual. Very conscious of my schedule and time management. Experience with reporting system to document and send information from service visits to customers.

Position: Assistant Superintendent of Power and Utilities/Powerhouse Process Engineer

I had a very wide variety of duties from managing operations, maintenance and E&I work to data gathering and monitoring. I used Excel, PI, and Proficy to track data and write reports to keep myself, my bosses, and others in our department updated on things going on in the systems. I was in charge of the people and work that went on with our two power boilers and package boiler. I kept track of inventory and was in charge of ordering supplies, chemicals, etc. I took data from different sources and created reports/charts that were easy to understand and that updated themselves with live data. I was over the Demineralizer Plant; it’s efficiency and plans for upgrades. I worked with all departments in the plant on a daily basis; engineering, capital engineering, reliability, technical, maintenance, E&I, planning, etc. I was the ‘go-to’ for information.

Position: Environmental/Engineering CO-OP

MeadWestvaco (DeRidder, LA)/ Roy McKinney 337-***-**** January 2013 – August 2014

My time here was spent all around the plant. I worked here full-time for a year then part-time during school for a semester. I gained experience in environmental, the refinery, and derivatives. Participated in many projects, experiments, and trials around the plant, most from start to finish. Participated in shut downs (some went smoothly, some not so smooth), was able to climb into a distillation column and other equipment, dealt with contractors and vendors, and installed equipment that improved the plant. Some of my work centered on water treatment dealing with aeration basins, bio augmentation, microscope examination, trials, new chemicals, and countless lab tests using industrial equipment. I set up the lab testing on their waste water treatment system and they actually had to hire someone full time to continue my work. I also participated in many benefits for the community such as helping at God's Food Box with the women's network, serving food for June safety week, Relay for Life, Backpack Attack Festival, Math Counts Tournaments at the local middle school, and helped run the MWV fair booth. I was a part of many safety committees, where I not only introduced ideas to help make the plant safer, but I won the safety slogan contest and I have a banner with my quote hanging in the plant.

Bayou Dental Lab/Steve Evans 337-***-**** September 2011 – December 2012

Interact with people constantly throughout the day, bring and pick up dental cases from many dentist offices around Lake Charles, help in organizing the office, lab work, and case design. I worked part-time during school.

Helped accomplish tasks such as laying floor, painting, building shelves and cabinets, installing ceiling, tile work, and much more cosmetic construction work.
