Skill set;

From buy out to punch out I work well with Project Managers to create a team atmosphere and make it a goal to keep my project on schedule and under budget. Procore, Plan grid, Excel, Timberline, scalemaster are a few of the softwares I've used in the past, and all are great when keeping track of submittals, RFI's, Daily reports and all the paperwork needed to keep track of progress, dollars spent, and it gives me a way to let a PM / Owners rep. what kind of progress we've made. I always carry,my laptop and Iphone, and my Chevy Truck has great Internet Via AT&T. This allows me to stay in touch with the office, and all my subs and suppliers no matter where I'm at. I carry a great laser and tri-pod to shoot grate. Fall becomes very important around Houston where your dealing with retention ponds, and your elevation is just above sea level when you start the job. Keeping the fall correct in a parking area to pass ADA inspections can be very important, and I find that the ADA never crosses a concrete mans mind. My Truck stays full of tools to get punch out done. As a Superintendent, my most important skill is keeping my subs on site and keeping them motivated. At our first pre-con meeting I try to make sure a schedule is posted, and I stress the importance of the schedule. Then when we start working, I'm out there right beside my hands, making sure the layout, fall, backfill, compaction, moisture content, details, spec's, etc are all being followed, while build a repour and friendship with my hands. Ill sometimes invest in a grill and make toco's for lunch on my dime. I like to keep my subs talking to eachother, and keeping the schedule at the forefront of the conversation. When you get out there and work side by side with these kids, and show an interest, they get off their cell phones and get involved.
