ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES/ PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

● Report directly to the Assistant Resident engineer/Resident Engineer

● Review and comment appropriately to shop drawings received from the Contractor.

● Familiarity with International Standards and European Codes (CIRIA,ACI, ASTM, BS, AASHTO, DIN,ICE)

● Reviewing marine drawings, calculations and reports and recommend optimum solutions to the client

● supervising all marine installation works both temporary and permanent including but not limited to break Water, concrete quay wall, jetty, dredging & reclamation, quay wall block etc.

● Provide site input to the review of Non-Conformance reports (NCRs) and endorse proposed remedial works, and assist with the resolution of site queries

● Supervision inspection of different Surveys, Hydrographic survey, Multi Beam Survey, land surveys Marine surveys and settlement survey of quay wall trench/harbor/entrance channel & reclamation areas.

● Supervision and Inspection of Dredging of Quay wall Foundation trench, Slipway, Break waters, rock Revetments, Inner harbor and approach channel as per design chart datum.

● Supervision and Inspection for the placement of Rock Bedding layer Grade50 /Bedding Frame level and Coordinate of bedding frame legs checked as per Design.

● Supervision and Inspection of Block Placement underwater Foundation trench of Quay wall berth, checking Layer by layer Block Placement as per Design levels and Coordinates.

● Checking & monitoring Casting of Quay wall PC Block and PC Cope unit at Precast yard.

● Checking and witnessing geotextile layer placement behind Quay wall (Reclamation), main break water Port Side Backfill (Reclamation) and Rock Revetment port side backfill.

● checking of shop drawing and reinforcement Bar Bending Schedule of PC Block, PC cope unit quay wall And insitu continuous Quay wall Berth Deck Slab.

● Supervision inspection of Correction Layer @ top T6 Block, Quay wall shear key, insitu Deck Slab, Shotcrete concrete for Cliff Stabilization, Slipway Slab and wave wall @ Break waters and Core loc casting

● Supervision and inspection of Core loc Placement @ Main Break Water and Lee Break Water, core loc Placement layer by layer under water with Possi Block System According to CLI given coordinates as well as Core loc placement Layer by layer behind Wave wall above Water.

● Supervision Installation of Harbour Buoy (IALA Special marks), Harbour lights (240V AC transformed to 12V DC), Main Break water Head light (Range of 9Nautical miles to an observer with a height of 5m above Sea Level), Lee Break Water Head light (Range of 3Nautical miles to an observer with a Height of 2m above Sea level) and Jetty corner light IALA 6bulblampchanger.

● Supervision and inspection of CPT offshore Quay wall trench as well as reclamation areas behind quay wall

● Supervision and inspection of the different rock quality test at site and laboratory for Rock Quality-A and Rock Quality-B, Reclamation sand and concrete as per Marine Specification.

● monitoring & inspection for the Placement of 100kg Single size stone Breathing/Overtopping protection Material next to Main Break Water (Crest) wave wall, bottom @ +6.51CD to top level of the layer +7.41CD with Top Crest width of the layer 5.00m.

● Checking and monitoring Reinforcement of insitu Continuous Quay wall Deck slab as per bar bending Schedule and construction IFC drawing.

● Supervision Installation of all Quay Deck furniture @ Quay wall Berth (Fenders Arch, Floating fenders And Super Cone Fenders According to TRELLEBORG ENGINEERED SYSTEM), Ladders, bollards200ton Life Buoy, Man hole & Turn over pit Cover Recess, Drainage pipe, Hand Railing, Rubbing Strips, Mooring rings, Safety Barrier Post, SS Angles, Storm anchor pit, Tie downs, Crane Buffer and Kerb stone. Anchoring Installation for Fenders, Bollards, Ladders, Hand railing, Mooring Ring, rubbing strips, Safety Barrier Post Crane Buffer and Life buoy.

● Maintain a diary of the day work activities, issues, and meeting details etc.

● Coordinate with the Contractor’s construction manager in charge of the work on a frequent basis To ensure that no issues are encountered.
