ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES/ PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
● Report directly to the Assistant Resident engineer/Resident Engineer
● Review and comment appropriately to shop drawings received from the Contractor.
● Familiarity with International Standards and European Codes (CIRIA,ACI, ASTM, BS, AASHTO, DIN,ICE)
● Reviewing marine drawings, calculations and reports and recommend optimum solutions to the client

● Supervision inspection of different Surveys, Hydrographic survey, Multi Beam Survey, land surveys Marine surveys and settlement survey of quay wall trench/harbor/entrance channel & reclamation areas.
● Supervision and Inspection of Dredging of Quay wall Foundation trench, Slipway, Break waters, rock Revetments, Inner harbor and approach channel as per design chart datum.
● Supervision and Inspection for the placement of Rock Bedding layer Grade50 /Bedding Frame level and Coordinate of bedding frame legs checked as per Design.
● Supervision and Inspection of Block Placement underwater Foundation trench of Quay wall berth, checking Layer by layer Block Placement as per Design levels and Coordinates.
● Checking & monitoring Casting of Quay wall PC Block and PC Cope unit at Precast yard.
● Checking and witnessing geotextile layer placement behind Quay wall (Reclamation), main break water Port Side Backfill (Reclamation) and Rock Revetment port side backfill.

● Supervision Installation of Harbour Buoy (IALA Special marks), Harbour lights (240V AC transformed to 12V DC), Main Break water Head light (Range of 9Nautical miles to an observer with a height of 5m above Sea Level), Lee Break Water Head light (Range of 3Nautical miles to an observer with a Height of 2m above Sea level) and Jetty corner light IALA 6bulblampchanger.

● Supervision Installation of all Quay Deck furniture @ Quay wall Berth (Fenders Arch, Floating fenders And Super Cone Fenders According to TRELLEBORG ENGINEERED SYSTEM), Ladders, bollards200ton Life Buoy, Man hole & Turn over pit Cover Recess, Drainage pipe, Hand Railing, Rubbing Strips, Mooring rings, Safety Barrier Post, SS Angles, Storm anchor pit, Tie downs, Crane Buffer and Kerb stone.
