I have operated various boilers up to 900#, and all related equipment, such as fans and pumps. I have also operated all associated equipment for steam plant production; this includes cooling water, feed water and vacuum pumps.

I have also operated a water filtration plant, steam driven electric generator, and exhaust steam heating systems.

The responsibility for maintaining the Powerhouse equipment and controlling the steam output to the entire steel mill fell to me.

Some of my additional responsibilities were to write, review and rewrite safe job procedures, while scheduling 34 licensed steam operators for the continuous operations of the Utilities department. The ordering of materials and supplies were also part of my daily tasks.
