Dear Harvest Group Design Team,
As an enthusiastic viewer of your work, I was delighted to see your posting for the position of technical artist. I am positive that I can contribute to Level Design’s upcoming projects. I have experience working on exhibits for major arts festivals and biennials. Moreover, I have independently produced artworks that integrate 3D design, digital fabrication, and electronics.
As a graduate student in SAIC’s art and technology program, my projects combined a digital approach to installation with scientific communication strategies. I contributed to Gallery 400’s Garden for a Changing Climate series, designing lesson plans and conducting workshops on environmental activism. Across four events
approximately 90 Chicago residents attended these
workshops. The series demonstrated how ecological design joined with educational experience enriches the public life of the city.
I know that Harvest Design is focused on delivering well presented projects that center the involvement of diverse users. This goal perfectly matches my personal interests and I am excited by the opportunity to work on projects that bring life to interactive experience. I would be pleased to contribute my 3D modeling and rendering skills and my passion for fabrication processes to products that both educate and inspire users.
I would be enthusiastic to present my portfolio to the team and learn more about your current projects.
Kind regards,
Andrew Rutherdale
