Coordinated bids and completion of a new Memorial Garden, with donor opportunities and established relationships with government officials for the Exterior Renovation project.

Completed overhaul of Museum operations; building management and innovative programming established for sustained growth including the establishment of the International Peace Garden in Batavia ( 2011 groundbreaking). Developed an active volunteer program.

Legacy Genesee, Batavia November 2006 to Present

A consultant for local not-for-profit agencies who are in need of additional funding, including grant writing and marketing material. Provide guidance and support in developing action plans and volunteer recruitment. Work with volunteers to maximize their skills. Consult with board members to actualize strategic mission. Developed databases and manage current programs. Raised over $100,000 in grant and corporate donations for the Friends of Batavia Peace Garden project. Consultant for the Arcade Chamber of Commerce Wellness Day Program.

Full responsibility for developing a Foundation/Planned Giving program, including the implementation of an Annual Fund and related materials; Bowen Bequest Society (pledged combined estate gifts totaling over $5 million); and oversight of two major special events that grew from a combined $35,000 net in 2002 to $86,000 in 2006. Grant and proposal writing for various System programs. Health system publicity, including on-call responsibilities. Developed new marketing materials, including the annual report, and displays for the Wellness/ Community Partners program. Represented the Health Care System at numerous public/civic opportunities. Developed media relationships in the Buffalo/Rochester region. Served on the Lake Plains Community Task Force that covers the eight-county region of Western New York. Responsible for marketing and fundraising of this private high school. Worked in tandem with the President, school board trustees and parent volunteers to accomplish goals. Organized the school’s 50th anniversary celebration, including a 400-person Gala. Expanded and engaged alumni involvement by establishing the Grand Reunion weekend and personal visits in Florida, D.C. area and New Jersey. Developed alumni newsletter ND NOW and increased the visibility of the Alumni Association. Expanded the Annual Fund by 300%, mainly due to increased alumni involvement. Visited local schools for recruitment opportunities and met with church organizations to discuss the value of a Catholic education. Developed relationships with donors and potential donors. Obtained grant funding to update school technology.

Organized the Foundation’s first Capital Campaign to raise over $1.4 million. Wrote grants and developed new programs for the health care system. Tripled the size of the volunteer Foundation Board.

Developed the corporate relationships for Genesee County’s leading print agency, from $425,000 annually to over $1.2 million in gross sales. Worked directly with 68 corporate customers, including (then) Genesee Memorial Hospital, Graham Corporation, Bernzomatic and O-At-Ka Milk Products with new product design and roll-out.
