As the Director of Capital Projects, I managed the activities of all members of the Projects and Planning staff as they were involved in the projects, including partnership coordination, project managers, accounting, communications, and administrative staff assigned to the individual projects. I was also responsible for all consultants and contractors to ensure contracts and agreements were executed and implemented to satisfaction. Day-to-day collaboration was required with all members of the staff to ensure that each project’s organization is set up to achieve its objectives. In addition, I worked closely with stakeholders from across the region to develop consensus around the Projects overall fiscal health and schedule. With this position, I had overall operational and management responsibility in completing the various processes and procedures as well as serving as the primary spokesperson.

Plan, direct, coordinate and lead activities of the project’s (SCI) Sustainable Communities Initiative to ensure that each project’s location or governing agencies goals, objectives and all elements of the projects were accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Projects included delivery of natural gas services in Honolulu Hawaii as well as Victoria B.C. Canada along with wastewater and biosolids treatment.

Previously, I managed the Capital Cost Estimating department within Gulf at their Houston Office. As the Manager of Capital Cost, I was responsible for the leadership and management of all aspects of the department’s activities to assure that services were provided on time and of excellent quality. Overall responsibility for the commercial and technical execution of all activities involved in capital cost projects rather pipeline, facility or wellhead and gathering systems projects; including interaction with the Client to assure that all project needs were met. Worked with fellow Project Directors and Managers, Engineers and Procurement to gather and validate necessary data to build an accurate total project capital cost and baseline schedule.
