Previously I was a lab assistant at Saint Martin’s University and was a research assistant for Dr. Brandy Fox, a professor in chemistry and a researcher in inorganic chemistry. I have consistently worked in a lab setting for the last three years. I am knowledgeable in basic lab skills used in biology, chemistry, and physics. I also have comprehensive strengths in customer service and management, as I had to work closely with many of the science professors to produce specialty chemicals and lab set-ups. I managed three science departments (biology, chemistry, and physics) for a short time while my boss took an emergency leave of absence. This experience provided me with tools and perspective on how to efficiently run labs and successfully manage employees. Furthermore, I have volunteered my time to many causes that have helped and benefited the community and environment over the years. In doing so, I learned how to work as team, work on my own, and also how to lead others.

• Assisted in lab set-ups, prepped chemicals, disposed of harmful and toxic chemicals and cleaned up labs and prep-rooms. Experienced in chemical dilutions, animal dissections, chemical disposal protocols, autoclaving, culturing agar plates, and advanced lab set ups. Stream Team Volunteer

Through SMU Circle K club- 9/2017- 5/2018

• Assisted in informing the community of the importance of picking up dog waste to preserve our local steams and the fish wildlife. We educated individuals on the harmful bacteria in dog feces and how it can affect their water run offs and salmon yields. Vacation Bible School Volunteer - Group Leader

Fort Lewis Main Post Chapel 2 weeks - 07/2009, 07/2011, and 07/2015

• Coordinated and setup activities for vacation bible school attendees before event. During the event, I assisted children with crafts and hands on learning of curriculum. I worked independently each day with the same group of children till the end of the week ensuring they were engaged and having fun.

Red Cross Volunteer (student program)

Fort Lewis Madigan Medical Center Orthopedists/ Podiatry, Ophthalmology, Gynecology/ Obstetrics, and General Surgery -06/2009 - 08/2009, 06/2010- 07/2014

• While volunteering with the Ophthalmology clinic, I scanned charts, faxed orders, made copies, answered phones and used the Medical Database System to enter data into patient’s electronic medical record. While volunteering with the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic I assisted in chaperoning patients during exams and also provided support for physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals with daily duties. Daily duties consisted of cleaning rooms, cleaning supplies, stocking exam rooms, assisting physicians during minor procedures, and running specimens to the lab.

Saint Martin’s University Clubs

• Pre-Health- This club is tailored to students looking to go into a medical field and we use this as a platform to educated students on how to achieve their medical career goals

• Biology- We raise money in this club by doing odd jobs around the community to fund our projects that we present at conferences

• Chemistry- In this club we help with the local boys and girls club teaching young minds the basics of chemistry

• Circle K- This is a community service club such as The Stream Team Awards
