Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) Presently working as Electrical supervisor of KAHRAMAA Under the Contract of PS Tech WLL, Qatar from august 2010 to till date. Job Description:

Supervising, Monitoring and Emergency Switching operation of primary substations, Switchgears, Transformers, OHL, Cables in major utilities organizations at voltage levels of 400 kV, 220kV, 132kV, 66kV, 33kV and 11kV.

Assist NCC foreman for coordinating all SSA at NCC system control building.

Preparing reading of large scale industries on monthly basis for calculating energy consumption.

To check SF6 gas pressure gauges of GIS, cable oil pressure gauges.

To check relay panels, alarm fascia’s, system voltage, tap position, & telemetry battery volts.

Physical checking of transformers condition such as oil and winding temperatures, oil level, oil leakage, tap position, cooling system etc.

To check switchyard/switchgear rooms, for abnormality such as sparking, fire, smoke, burning etc.

Monitors substation parameters by DCS/SCADA, alarm list, event list in the control room.

Informs immediately the shift charge engineer about process disturbances, alarms, incidents.

Co-ordination with switching engineers and technicians.

Knowledge to handle fire extinguishers in the event of fire. Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB, INDIA)

Worked as a Substation operator in KSEB 33 KV Substation on contract basis from September 2009 to July 2010.

Job Description:

Monitoring and switching operations of Line & Bus isolators, OCB etc.

To check relay panels, alarm fascia’s, system voltage, tap position, & telemetry battery volts.

To check all voltage level circuit breaker status, LVAC system, fire protection system etc.

Physical checking of transformers oil leakage.

To check switchyard for abnormality such as sparking, fire, smoke, burning etc.

Monitors process and quality parameters.

To overlook the activities of the substation.

Informs immediately the shift charge engineer about abnormalities.

Supports the shift charge engineer and technicians to maintain the notification list

/ list of defects.

Knowledge to handle fire extinguishers in the event of fire. Education :
