Client Profile: Solvay (headquartered in Brussels with around 27,000 employees in 58 countries) is a multi-specialty chemical company, committed to developing chemistry that addresses key societal challenges. Its products and solutions are used in planes, cars, smart and medical devices, batteries, in mineral and oil extraction, among many other applications promoting sustainability.

CGI transitioned Solvay’s present process from FR, Brazil. It also transitioned the BI Analytics stream and was successful in obtaining sign-off from Solvay. CGI has played a key role in S/4 HANA transformation of Solvay.

Responsibilities:

To show how they put their earnings to work, between 2010 to 2015 UU invested > £3 Billion to improve the water & wastewater infrastructure and the environment across the North West. UU relied on manual process for their HR, FI, SCM & SRM reporting that was consuming > 100 man-days of work every month. UU aimed to automate all the reporting using SAP BI and BO.

Responsibilities:

Delivered technical solutions for around 40 functional specs including HCM, SCM, SRM, BO, Authorizations, BO Administration, BO Promotion and Transition

Project Scope: This project was a new solution provided by SAP (Service Parts Management). SAP used both Ford & Caterpillar’s Process knowledge of over 100 years by joint venturing with both of them for building the legendary solution for Service Parts.
