*Retrieve and process documents from designated Emergency and outpatient departments for scanning.
*Ensure that specific paper-based documents are included in the electronic medical record, determine which documents are included into the record.
*Prepare and scan document for inclusion in the electronic medical record.
*Carefully check documents for required indexing elements necessary to meet UCLA Healthcare standards for storage and retrieval.
*Perform quality review of processed documents to ensure integrity of the imaging and indexing process.
* Review computerized imaging indexes of documents to ensure accuracy and conformance to accepted standards and quality.
*Comply with HIPPA and Confidentiality Policies and Procedures as they apply to the job. Comply with
(DPH). The Joint Commission and Adhere to all Hospital Policies and Procedures.
*Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
* Responsible for auditing outpatient documents and making necessary corrections.
* Answer telephones and direct calls.
