Group adjudicates Redetermination decisions in the unemployment process that allows or disallows claimant’s unemployment claims.

Team certifies appeals to the Hearing Review Commission (UCRC) for higher level appeals at 30,000 appeals per quarter.

High-volume production environment utilizing a Lean mentality to drive the decision making process.

Interface directly with the public through multiple communication outlets. Interface with Legislators and law makers writing policy and law.

Assistant Section Chief, Unemployment Compensation – Wage Record Section, Columbus, Ohio

Manage the Unemployment Tax receipts in excess of $1.8 billion dollars per year by processing and depositing into the state trust fund.

Responsible for the scanning of all incoming checks from employer’s, preparation of daily bank drops and processing of receipts and bank records and reconciliations of daily deposits made to the bank.
