IT Professional with over twenty five years of experience in IT infrastructure, network/systems design, management and engineering positions. Senior Principal Consultant

Responsible for providing clients with network assessments, high and low level design documents, and bills of material. Provided Pre Sales Engineering on multiple projects, delivering high level design suggestions, proof of concepts, bills of material, client guidance, and subject matter experience to client senior management positions. Worked with Project Management to define Statement of Work (SOW), project schedule, and technology tracks, including staffing workloads, for numerous client engagements. A few of the higher profile engagements include:

Stanford Children’s Hospital - Managed team of engineers and provided hands-on expertise for new hospital wing technology design and rollout of infrastructure, wireless, and wide area networking based on Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS) and Internet based protocols (BGP). Also provided guidance to client senior management for new infrastructure technologies and methodologies. Cisco Nexus 9500 ACI, Nexus 7000, ISR 3850, ASR 1000 and 9000 routers, 5500 WCD, AP3802, Unified Communications Manager, Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN), Cisco Digital Network Architecture (Cisco DNA – on ASR and ISR routers), InfoBlox (DNS, DHCP, IPAM).

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport – Responsible for developing a hybrid on-premises/Cloud data center architecture incorporating containers and virtual machines for airport operations. Architecture included secure cloud access, local switching and routing, and circuit provisioning for Direct Internet Access (DIA) using multiple diverse carriers. Cisco Nexus 7000, 3850, 5500 WCD, AP3802, ASA5525-X, F5 BigIP, AWS, Azure, NetBrain (for network discovery).

Patterson Medical – Provided Pre Sales Engineering, delivering high level design, bill of materials, along with infrastructure guidance. Produced design specifications and low level design, provided implementation of multi-campus network, including switching, routing, security, and wireless. Also installed and configured VMWare ESX along with Microsoft Server, Active Directory, and Radius virtual machines for user and infrastructure management.

Cisco 3850 (stacked), 3650, ASA5525-X, Meraki MR42, ISR4451, Cisco C-220 servers, VMWare 6.5, Cisco/OpenDNS Umbrella to identify targeted attacks in the cloud, protect against Advanced Persistent Threats (APT ) and provide advanced malware protection (AMP), Intelligent WAN (IWAN – Cisco SD-WAN) with Performance Routing (PfR), Ansible (network automation), SolarWinds (network management)

Tufts Health Plan – Responsible for creating a future state network design. Created an updated Disaster Recovery profile where disaster recovery sites are in geographically distinct locations. Defined network edge policies, replacing Provider-aggregatable (PA) IP addressing with Provider-independent (PI) IP addressing.

Tennessee Farm Bureau – Provided Pre Sales Engineering, delivering high level design, proof of concept mockup, bill of materials, and timeline for reengineered enterprise infrastructure at TFB headquarters in Columbia Tennessee. Worked closely with CEO and CIO to advise on current industry best practices for infrastructure and security, while also providing feedback on network staffing strengths and weaknesses. Produced design specifications and implemented the installation of security infrastructure and policies for client data center, redesign of enterprise network, eliminating large broadcast zones and sub-optimal network response/security. Wilton Industries - Responsible for assessing Wide Area Network design and developing a updated Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS) architecture for domestic and international locations for Wilton Industries. The architecture included updated routing, security, and switching devices to update the network to current best practice standards. Provided network, server, SAN and wireless solutions for business ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. In the process, provided Pre Sales Engineering, Sales support, design, and implementation support services for large and small businesses typically in the central New Jersey area. Responsibilities included:

Technical liaison to Internet Service Provider clients, Pre Sales Engineering, and local (New York, NY) Engineering Manager for a global behavioral targeting online advertising provider. During this time, my Pre Sales Engineering responsibilities included acting as a trusted advisor, providing high level design documentation, and coordinating proof of concept trials for domestic business partners. Design and implementation responsibilities included:
