Duties & Responsibilities:
●Reviews all the retail credit products personal loans,credit cards, car loans, overdraft loans to ensure if they meet the banking procedures so that give the final decision about lending or not.
●Determine the risk of default to the bank or lender
●Providing high quality risk management services to all the banks retail lending products.
● Ensuring adherence to risk policy and procedures the main responsibility of the role is on assessment for retail lending applications.
●Controlling the work flows; ensuring even distribution of incoming work and ensuring that the correct reporting and monitoring is in place.
● Ensure that all lending decisions made comply with business personal sector policy guidelines and advances procedures in line with the retail credit risk governance manual.
● Ensure timely and effective turnaround time for applications submitted by branches sales force.
●Sample the portfolio of assessors to ensure compliance with policies procedures.
● Escalate all appeals from branches or sales that may require override of either policy or the scorecard.
●Act as a guide and support to branches and business line matters relating to credit risk within retail.
●Cascade and coach team for risk assessors on any changes on credit risk control and assessment processes to ensure fit for purpose and meets the business needs; May contribute to projects specified by the credit risk strategy in conjunction with change delivery partners; and Contribute to establishing controls to assess accuracy of decisions and detect breaches in errors along with establishment of preventive and corrective actions
