I started as scheduler for the PIP Department, scheduling phone conferences with clients, hearings, depositions and mediations. I was then crossed trained as a receptionist and in our mailroom; from there I became a Junior Secretary in our Workers’ Comp Department and then moved onto to the task as a Subpoena Clerk. Finally, when the position for Database Services opened up, I jumped at the chance to move into that role.
My responsibilities for Database Services are to update the database for the entire firm, for all of the contacts, files and important deadlines. I am tasked with making changing to the contacts, for our database and files, as requested by the firm’s staff. I am also tasked with making changes to the files, which includes adding and/or removing our attorneys’ information and capacity on the file, as well as adding and/or removing other parties on the files (Plaintiffs, Defendants, other counsels, clients, experts, etc.) and updating the style of the case and court information.
