DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Capturing
Captures all the information for the CSIR Bursary Students
Project Management
Responsible for the implementation of the CSIR Scholarships, Internships, Bursaries, Studentships, Research Professionals Development Programmes and Vacation work training. This including all the coordination process required for effective and efficient management of Human Capital Development programmes
Responsible for the coordination of induction programme for bursary students as well as students on the studentship programme
Assist in the implementation of comprehensive information management systems for the CSIR’s Human Capital Development programmes as well as monitoring, evaluation and reporting systems in order to deliver efficient finger-on-the-pulse information on the implementation status to Human Capital Development stakeholders
Compile relevant reports and make appropriate recommendations on improving the programmes
Monitor student’s contracts and ensure that students complete on record time.
Involved in outreach programme activities, attending events within CSIR (e.g. CSIR Career day) and outside CSIR (e.g. Annual Science Festival) where I engage with pupils to raise awareness about different careers in science and engineering field and also letting them know of the opportunities within CSIR
Assist in managing and monitoring the implementation procedures for Human Capital Development programmes in terms of HCD policy manual
Responsible for the courier of documents and keeping records of the documents, Photocopying and Scanning of documents; filing and maintenance of all training files; travelling and accommodation arrangements for CSIR staff and Bursary students; Attend meetings and taking minutes; Assist in compiling training reports and compile monthly and quarterly reports
Knowledge of Learning Management System (LMS)
Student Support Programme

Render administrative support to the Human Capital Development unit in the facilitation and negotiation of strategic recruitments in order to conclude appointments within minimum turnaround times
Preparing relevant MICT SETA Interns reports, information and documents as and when required
Support on other office duties when it is required
Manage communication with internal, national and international stakeholders of the Human Capital Development programmes to ensure speedy attention to enquiries and timely response to planned actions
Recruitment and selection of CSIR Bursars
Advertise for the CSIR Bursary Programme
Acknowledges and captures data into PeopleSoft recruit
Routes screened applicants

Initiates bursary recruitment process
