Possesses thirty-five years of experience performing Mechanical & Process Engineering Design projects

with the preference being full life-cycle Engineering Procurement and Construction efforts. Possess a Department of Energy “L” clearance. Engineering

Design capabilities range from Class1 clean-room systems to Process Piping systems to Ultra high-purity

chemical dispense and distribution Piping systems, and Nuclear Process Piping, HVAC Exhaust systems

and advanced Equipment Modeling Utilizes SmartP&ID, Visio, and other software applications to

produce P&ID's and V&ID's for process systems. Other competencies include experience in technical

new Generation Small Modular Nuclear Power Plant design for Fluor Nuclear Power Group

& NuScale Power Co.

• Provided 3D HVAC systems design & modeling on a large project for the US Department of

Energy’s Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge TN.

• Provided PDS PEHVAC Sr. Design expertise for the US Department of Energy's MOX

project on the Savannah River Site for Shaw / AREVA MOX Services. Including 3D model to

2D Plans extraction and annotation. Utilized ISOGEN for extraction of 3D piping model into

Isometric drawings.

• Provided Intergraph PDS Design for a Pharmaceutical projects for Jacobs Engineering in

Cincinnati.

• Coordinated and Managed a design build project including an Ultra-pure chemical piping

distribution system for HP in Colorado, including Piping field assessment and new design,

field assessment, equipment bids/procurement, contractor installation coordination, and

client expectation management.

• Directed a PDS Piping / Mechanical design team throughout early stages of the revival of a

mothballed $3B project for Micron Semiconductor.

• Served as Lead Piping / Mechanical Designer for a MicroStation Design team of 20 to 30

designers contributing to the Bechtel Euro-Disney project. Analyzed enterprise software

options and evaluated ROI, cost benefit analysis, and evaluated and implemented

collaboration options for CAD systems software for the project’s utilization on a dual shore

design project effort.

• Led an AutoCAD team responsible for the design of the Blizzard Beach water park for

Disney World, Orlando, as well as provided detailed piping design documents for the Swiss

Family Robinson Tree House project in Tokyo.

PRINCIPAL PIPING MECHANICAL DESIGNER

Principal piping and mechanical designer responsible for design of glove boxes and all process

piping and equipment contained inside. General arrangement 3D PDS models of process

equipment and piping for glove boxes on the ITER international fusion reactor project.

Production of as-built 3D models of other nuclear process equipment and piping for the Tritium

plant at the US Department of Energy's Savanah River Site. PDS 3D modeling of complex

process equipment and 2D fabrication drawings for process vessels and other equipment

components.

Sr. PipiReng Designer – Industrial Services Group

Employed as a Sr. Piping / Mechanical designer for a major automotive factory design. Utilizing

AECOsim 3D design software from the Bentley Systems MicroStation to produce piping,

mechanical equipment, and HVAC designs for this large project. Extraction into sheet files and

annotation is within scope. AutoCAD Revit 2016 is also in use for equipment imports and

AutoCAD 2016 for the P&ID design.

FLUOR - ASI INC. – Contract for NuScale Power Corp - Greenville, SC 2014

Principal HVAC Designer – SmartPlant 3D Plant Design Group

Employed as a Principal HVAC Designer to the Fluor Nuclear Power Division to provide

Equipment, process exhaust and HVAC systems Smart Plant 3D Modeling. Currently

performing preliminary HVAC & Equipment design for a Small Modular Nuclear Power Plant

project preparing for license issue to the NRC.

URS – UPF Contract for the US Department of Energy Y12 – Oak Ridge TN

2011 to 2014

Sr. HVAC Designer – 3D Plant Design Group

Employed as a Sr. HVAC Designer to develop 3D Models for HVAC equipment & ductwork for a

large US Department of Energy facility in Oak Ridge TN. All of the Process Exhaust system

was modeled in Bentley PSDS 3D using Schedule 10S Piping Specifications. Responsible for

supply, return, and process exhaust systems in different areas of this major 6 Billion dollar

facility. Participated in the production of P&ID and V&ID (HVAC) drawings for the systems

assigned. Performed inter discipline coordination of process systems as required to develop this

detailed and highly complex 3D model including resolution of inter-discipline clash reports.

Indian Eyes contracted to Shaw AREVA MOX Services for DoE Savannah River Aiken, SC

2008 to 2011

Sr. PDS PEHVAC and PDS Piping Designer

Employed as a Sr. Intergraph PDS & PEHVAC Designer to complete the HVAC design package

for contract bid and followed by the fabrication and construction issue. Performed 3D modeling

along with extraction into 2D plan drawings and annotation for issue. Responsible for supply

and exhaust systems in different areas of this major facility. Produced P&ID documents for

systems within scope. Other duties included PDS Piping design per ASME B31.3 and ISO

extraction using ISOGEN. Performed clash reporting and resolution along with inter discipline

coordination of process systems. In the drawing issue process performed and led CAD

operators utilizing ORTHOGEN for extraction of PDS HVAC 3D models into orthogonal

drawings for annotation and issue. The HVAC Drawing package contained more than 900

orthogonal sheets.

Employed as a Sr. Piping Designer to produce process piping construction documents for a

complex clean coal energy related project. Produced P&ID's for process piping systems. Design

Lead for the piping portion of the project utilizing AutoCAD 2D.

Bechtel SAIC LLC for the Department of Energy's Yucca Mountain Project - Las Vegas, NV

2004-2005

product for the engineering design department. Served as the Project Manager for the Records

Management and Document Control groups Documentum implementation effort. Performed Six

Produced PEHVAC models for various process duct work systems for a large pharmaceutical

plant for Lilly. Included in the design efforts are several process gas exhaust systems along with

the Supply / Return / Outside Air systems for four building areas. Performed clash report

resolution along with continuing inter-discipline coordination efforts to assure constructability of

the design would be the final product.
