To whom this may concern,
I’m writing to apply for the LPN position at your establishment. I am confident that my skills are well- aligned with the role you are seeking to fill and that I would be an excellent fit for your organization.
My skill set and industry expertise are comprehensive and up-to-date. I make it my priority to see that patient care is done well and efficiently. I make it a habit to keep current with CEU’s pertaining to my career. My career has also seen its share of achievements; while working as an afternoon shift supervisor at Henry Ford Continuing Care in Harper Woods, MI. Before that time I was a charge nurse for Henry Ford Continuing Care in Roseville, MI. I have worked with a variety of patients with different levels of illnesses.
I have learned and accomplished a great deal in 20 years as an LPN. One of proudest moments to date occurred while I was promoted within the company I used to work for, as the afternoon shift supervisor position for 4 years. In that capacity I was responsible for overseeing the whole building and staff members. I managed 6 nurses, 12-13 certified nurse’s assistants on the afternoon shift. While making sure that quality care was performed, accurate documentation was written, patient and family member concerns were tended to and satisfaction granted in a timely manner, and thorough patient assessments were performed. All of which was a wonderful experience and opportunity for growth and change.
I am currently enrolled in Macomb Community College to complete Associates of Science Degree.
Then move on to possibly complete my Bachelor’s in Nursing.
I believe my experiences and enthusiasm in nursing makes me an excellent fit for this opportunity. I have enclosed my resume for consideration. Please feel free to contact me at either of the above numbers or email at any time of your convenience to discuss my background, a date and time for interviewing via over the phone or in person, as well as the requirements for the role. Thank you for your time and consideration of my application.
Sincerely,
Robbin L. Scott, LPN
