Managed staff of 15+ Application Support, Development, Business Analysts and QA to drive the IT needs of the organization. As part of the management team I helped define, plan and implement IT initiatives that allowed our schools to be successful. I then worked with direct reports and outside vendors to ensure projects were delivered on-time, on budget and that met, or exceeded original objectives.

Accomplishments: Managed IT support of all core applications and business operations including finance and accounting, purchasing, marketing, enrollment and HR. Led transformation from on premise solutions to cloud resulting in staff, facilities and licensing cost savings. Integrated and automated on boarding/off boarding of users across a portfolio of industry leading cloud solutions.

Senior Application Support & Business Analyst April 2007 – June 2012

Support Analyst for 35 Charter Schools across 6 states. Schools ranged from traditional K-8, to 9-12 Credit Recovery and K-12 Online. Acted as first-line support for all online and home-grown applications that were critical to the operations of our schools. Created and maintained application integrations to ensure successful flow of data. Created and maintained process workflow to automate repetitive processes as scheduled tasks. As Business Analyst on 50+ projects ranging from application and web site content and design, to application migrations and integrations. Responsible for gathering, planning, documenting and communicating business requirements, producing technical requirements and performing acceptance testing. Functioned as Project Lead, facilitating all project meetings and status updates. Was then responsible for Quality Assurance testing all project deliverables using tools like HP’s UFT before signoff and elevation to production.

Accomplishments: Migrated 35 school’s current and historical data from legacy systems to industry-leading applications over a two-year period. The project saved the company thousands of dollars and provided new, robust data analytics and reporting.

Responsible for defining testing scope and objectives. Built and executed scripts for testing production job flow in a QA environment to assure industry and company quality standards are met before promoting code to production. Guided and trained less experienced QA Analysts.
