Acts as Management’s Representative at state-wide hearings.

Participates in all abuse investigations with Senior Staff, notifying the Union and Supervisors when employees are pulled from complement.

Directs and facilitates employment activities regarding disciplinary action, reassignment, and discharges.

Conducts annual in-service training for supervisors for grievance processing, disciplinary proceedings and Labor Relations proceedings by holding regularly scheduled in-service classes on the above subjects.

Provides in-service training to supervisors for new labor contracts by conducting orientation sessions on contract changes, publishing and circulating contract change updates in order to assure that new contract changes/deletions and additions are understood by all supervisors at the Center

Prepares all Labor Relations Releases for Purchase Contracts

Attend WC hearings that apply to cases that intersect with Labor Relations

Tracks all criminal cases pertaining to Ebensburg Center on the Pennsylvania Unified Judicial system and updates various staff of the outcomes as well as recommend discipline.

Provides guidance and direction to HR Assistants

LABOR RELATIONS COORDINATOR

Torrance State Hospital, Office of Chief Operating Officer, Torrance, PA (September 2007 to February 2012)

Administered and interpreted the labor agreements for all 7 Unions to ensure compliance with the terms.

Reviewed and responded to all grievances filed at the local level in accordance with the different bargaining unit agreements.
