EXPERIENCE
JANUARY 2007 TO JUNE 2018
SENIOR CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNCIAN, Walgreens (Full-time 40+ hours per week)
Assisted the pharmacist in day to day tasks. Helped the pharmacist staff manage the newer technicians and promoting their growth as well. In leading the support staff, I was able to see the potential in my coworkers and push for greatness.
As pharmacy technician some of my tasks included customer service specialist, answering phones, money handling, typing in prescription orders, filing prescriptions, and sales.
As a senior technician my tasks included receiving warehouse orders and placing them inventory, stock management, shift scheduling and technician training, managed automatic dispensing machine, handled clerical duties such as organizing and filed paperwork. Helping with stock inventory, periodically reorganizing pharmacy to make it more efficient and increase productivity, team leading with problem solving and being available whenever the pharmacy manager needed assistance.
For a period, I worked as the Medicare Ambassador assisting seniors in selecting the best insurance plans to suit their needs which was very rewarding.
JANUARY 2001 TO JANUARY 2007
TEACHER'S ASSISTANT/COUNSELOR/OFFICE ASSISTANT, Milwaukee Public Schools/Boys and Girls Club (Part-time 20-25 per week, 40 hours per week during peak)
After school and summer position at an elementary school as a teacher/ Camp counselor for children ages 3 to 12. The position was partially through the Milwaukee school system in conjunction with the Boys and Girls Club of America. Worked hands on with the youth in facilitating activities for learning and enrichment. During the school year we spent much time tutoring and hoping to foster healthy learning skills. In the summer, we spent time learning and involving the children in artistic and cultural experiences.
My tasks as an office assistant included helping to organize paperwork and submitting documents to the school board and keeping records for the Boys and Girls Club.
JUNE 2000 TO AUGUST 2004
CHURCH OFFICE ASSISTANT, METROPOLITAN BAPTIST CHURCH (PART-TIME 20 PER WEEK)
During the summers and on weekends I would assist the full-time church secretary with clerical duties. This time I learned and found a love for organizing and keeping records. Being able to see and appreciate historic documents and how to keep them in the best condition was a highlight. Assisted her with typing many different types of documents, printing and collating programs, sorting and stapling tasks.
