Major project on “INDUSTRIAL CONVEYOR USING COMPOUN MECHANISM”

DESCRIPTION:

Industries use conveyors to transfer materials or assembled product from one work section to other.

As an alternative to conveyor type,more simple mechanism using four bar links can be used. Conveyors

using slider crank mechanism helps in transfer of materials or assembled products smoothly by use of

mechanical links with simple arrangement. The mechanism basically works on the principle of slider crank mechanism, which coverts rotary motion into reciprocating motion. The slider crank mechanism includes four links. One link is fixed and the other link acts as crank, follower and connecting rod or slider beam.

The objective of this work to fabricate a flexible material transfer mechanism which replaces coventional conveyor system from slider crank mechanism using kinematic links and a motor. The advantage of this model is, the time delay between moving materials or assembled products is to introduce any alternations in the materials or assembled parts.
