Boost@Berkeley-Haas Leadership Advisor and Mentor Fall ‘16 – May ‘18

[2 hrs/wk]A youth entrepreneur program which helps low-income, underserved, underprivileged, and underrepresented students and students who would be the first to attend college in their family with a year-round program that provides hundreds of hours of educating, mentoring, coaching and support. It focuses on one of the leading causes of the achievement gap in education: the opportunity gap, by teaching valuable life skills, business principles, and opportunity recognition and only accepting low-income students from public schools with a GPA between 2.5. and 3.5 (since students above this GPA average typically already receive aid, assistance, and attention).

Berkeley Go Solar! Campaign Coordinator/Manager February ‘15 - May ‘15

[4 hrs/wk] Berkeley Go Solar! was the lead campaign for CalPIRG (Cal’s Public Interest Research Group) which focused on canvassing, drafting a bill, and garnering grassroots support for city- and state-wide renewable energy sources.

Created a bill that was passed by Berkeley City Hall that requires the city to get 50% of their energy from clean sources by 2025. This bill gained Kevin de León’s support and inspired Senate Bill 100 which was recently brought before the General Assembly.
