Large church, multiple line phone, entry office, five full-time ministers plus an Office Administrator. Helped with many varied duties. I volunteered there for several years before I was hired full-time.

Administrative Assistant to Broker

Payne Webber – Birmingham, MI

Instituted a new filing system for my chief broker along with the usual duties of a CA and much, and frequent, interfacing with the clients.

Administrative Assistant to Financial Planner/Broker

Ernst and Young – Detroit, MI

E&Y was in the Renaissance Center in Detroit. I worked for a Financial Analyst, specifically for a PROJECT having to do with the AFL and plant floor supervision. I made all the travel arrangements, hotels, meeting schedules, meals, etc. for each of the men under my boss. These men came to us from all over the United States. They worked in other offices of E&Y as well as the AFL. I justified all expense reports and data related thereto.

Administrative Assistant to American President

Cisigraph Corporation – Farmington Hills, MI

Private Secretary, corporate liaison, payroll preparation, monthly audit reports, oversaw the office staff and helped them prioritize and grow in their job. Worked with an outside auditor, who came in every month and converted the reports into the French Headquarters financial language. There came a time of financial crunch in Detroit and all three (3) of us, who were considered Middle Management, were let go, to economize.

Administrative Assistant to American President

Siemens Energy & Automation – Madison Heights, MI

When I joined Siemens, they were in Southfield, MI. I had the opportunity to oversee the building and development of a brand-new facility, in Madison Heights. This was a 23,000 sq. ft. building. I was the boss’ right hand. Worked 60+ hours a week sometimes. My job included all the usual clerical duties plus initial HR, expense accounts and personal expense reconciliation. Worked very closely with German Headquarters to translate everything into their language and format. Lots of late meeting, minutes, luncheons, travel arrangements, etc.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AWARDS

MASTER OF ARTS

BACHELOR OF ARTS

BUSINESS SCHOOL

Attended Burroughs Business School right out of high school. Received Certification from them in Office Practices and Machines. Attended Wayne University, with a major in Communication. Transferred to Michigan State University and completed a double major of Education and Music Performance. My field of study was English/Writing.

Several years later I entered Faith School of Theology to get a master’s degree in Counseling. With much of this program done, and with a lot of guidance from the education department, I transferred to a Theology major.

As you can see, I have a well-rounded education background, as well as much applied learning.

I have been fortunate to receive several writing awards, have a book ready to publish, received a Julliard scholarship. Traveled with, and played for, many music artists through the years. I have worked under some terrific men and learned a great deal.
