CONTROLLER (LONZA); DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND OPERATIONS (MODA & TSG)

Recommended by a former First Consulting Group colleague to help drive and guide company through growth. Accepted this dual finance-operational role, with hands-on involvement in all aspects of accounting, finance, human resources. Reported to and worked closely with the CEO. The above three companies represents a sequence of a corporate spin-off (TSG), a sale (MODA) and the final acquiring entity (LONZA).

Instrumental in the sale the TSG to a third party at 5 time multiple of net income and the creation of MODA Technology partners from a start-up entity. Crafted 5 year plan of action in order to spinoff technology company which, when executed, allowed for the company to be acquired within 3.5 years of start-up. Company sold at a 6 time multiple of revenue and 100% of employees kept employment.

●Reduced collection of outstanding invoices from a 72 day period to a 48 day period improving cash flow by 45% over a short-term basis.

●Negotiated new lines of credit allowing for greater R&D expansion and reducing timeline of product delivery to market.

●Crafted a plan for transition of hardware and software inventory from QuickBooks to SAP and lead changeover process to production in new facility. This allowed for one point-of-location access, greater controls and better cost management.

SENIOR MANAGER OF BUDGET, FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING

Hands-on manager for team of 14 financial professionals responsible for accounting close, financial statement preparation, A/P, A/R, expense reimbursements, budgets and forecasts for Life Sciences division.

Served as a key lead in the integration of two new accounting systems for both budgeting purposes (LEX 2000) and for GL and Project (Flexi) accounting for our division. The process included design and development, quality testing, change management, rollout and training.
