Directed 54 staff members responsible for procurement, inventory control, dispatching, distribution, receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and equipment maintenance to support mission of delivering infusion medication and durable medical equipment (DME) to patients in a home care setting.

Implemented logistics software system and smartphone application “Apacheta” used in the creation, optimization, and real-time tracking of delivery techs on their respective routes.

Designed “Distribution Analytics” tool in Tableau with system developer that transformed data into comprehensive metrics tool providing visibility to order volume by division, on-time service level, individual driver productivity, and order activity by geographic location.

Launched newly created analytics for cross-functional staff to monitor key operating parameters, and adhere to business rules to efficiently meet patient delivery requirements and reduce labor expenses. l

Revamped the delivery model for a key hospice healthcare provider, which resulted in the on-time service level improvement from 65% to ~90% within two months.

Eliminated non-value-added activities, and established new process for staging, and loading patient equipment and supplies by route instead of FIFO, which reduced unnecessary overtime by 35%. l

Warehouse Operations Manager / Rancho Cucamonga, CA / August 2007 to November 2014

Facilitated ongoing strategic management and tactical support as onsite manager for Company within a third-party logistics (3PL) environment. Accountable for planning, logistics, quality, and international trade for internal customers and overseas suppliers.

Worked independently to establish the successful start-up of $60MM logistics operation in a 330K ft2 warehouse. Integrated and aligned company SOP’s, quality assurance requirements, and best demonstrated practices within contracted 3PL’s operations to achieve KPI’s and cost-savings within 12 months of start-up.

Developed and implemented process that enabled replenishment center to function as cross-dock operation thereby creating a new value-added service offering and generating more revenue activity. l

Orchestrated project relocating sterilized product from El Paso, TX to Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and achieved on-time completion of project with savings of over $500MM in annual transportation, labor, and inventory savings.

Administered Green Belt Project which combined freight destined for multiple customer locations within the same metropolitan area, yielding a reduction in damage claims, and $50K in annual freight savings.

Spearheaded initiative to address high rate of damaged packaging arriving at replenishment center. Worked in partnership with packaging engineers, internal business units, and their respective suppliers on packaging changes and supply chain solutions. Efforts resulted in 75% reduction in damaged freight, 2-3% improvement in network-wide customer service level, and reduction of transportation costs related to reverse-logistics.
