PROFILE

I hold a Master’s degree in applied mathematics, and a master’s degree in information security and assurance. The dream of being able to use technology to make an impact leads me to coding. I would love a position where I can use my skills and creativity to make things not only easy for others to use but impossible to achieve without coding and problem solving skills.

Learning center App

As a tutor at Mercy’s learning center, I realized that the manager has a lot of manual work at the beginning of each semester or when a tutor changes his schedule. Students did not have access to the most updated schedule, nor do they have instantaneous chat functionality. These lead me to think and come up with this app where tutors can sign up for an account and add their proposed schedules to the manager who could make changes or just approve so students can see the most updated schedules. Once the tutor approved, students will be able to chat instantaneously with tutors working at that time, and could take survey at the end of each session. Students will be able to print or see the pdf of the schedule based on campus or subject. I used web socket technology, css and jquery for the chat, used bootstrap for the front- end look, created an Api to be able to access the tutors information through front-end languages. Used Postgresql to store information of tutors and students. Everything was developed using ruby on rails. EXPERIENCE
