Design and draft floor systems and roof framing for Single Family Residential buildings using wood I joists for America’s largest home builder DR Horton in multiple states: TX, LA, OK, AZ to name few.

Design and draft High End Single Family Residential wood frame buildings, 4 storey, basement included with coverage of around 5000sq ft for David Weekly Homes.

Design and draft floor systems, roof framing, posts, etc. in Residential houses with approximately 2500sq ft coverage including high wind zones and complicated load path analysis in multiple storey townhomes.

Solve field framing issues by designing appropriate wood connections using NDS codes and draft details.

Design Reinforced Concrete Residential buildings in high seismic zones using finite element model in SAP2000v16, including design of floor slabs, beams, staircase, columns and different types of foundations.

Design of RCC Gandaki Community Hospital, Dairy Factory building and Commercial complex including design of mat/isolated footings, slabs, beams, columns and staircase utilizing FEM model from SAP2000v16.

Detailed cost estimation, drafting structural blueprints for construction and review of specification were also the part of the project where I got actively involved.

Experience

Department Manager/ Structural Designer

Strand System Engineering, Dallas, TX (Sept 2015 - Jan 2018)

Perform, check engineering calculations, economic layout, rafter spans and use engineering judgment for plans drafted by structural designers and sign off on created blueprints to have creditable master sets.

Consistently be in touch with the clients (purchasing managers, field supervisors, and inspectors) to keep them updated of the work progress, discuss the engineering issues and suggest effective ways to resolve them.

Work under direct supervision of Professional Engineer to do inspections, engineering calculations, draft remedy structural details for problems and write consult letters based on the approved design and calculations.

Demanding time management skills, work prioritization and work on multiple projects at a time including creating strategic plans for updating in-house design software, train new structural designers to create a solid team that can produce demanding work volume.
