OBJECTIVE

To secure a position of increasing responsibility in quality assurance within the Aerospace/Defense industry with a focus on supply chain quality.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

●I have over 25 years of experience in Quality Assurance. I served as the Procurement Quality Assurance management representative to the United Space Alliance Supply Chain Management Council. I have had direct responsibility to develop and maintain supplier management applications, data systems, policies and procedures and tools (audit, approval, process validation and certification, surveillance, product acceptance, failure analysis and corrective/preventive action).

●I have demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead the resolution of supply chain quality issues with suppliers, programs, procurement, engineering, and manufacturing. I have a strong working knowledge of industry recognized quality standards and management systems and the development of performance-based metrics.

●I have demonstrated experience with continuous improvement processes including several Lean Six Sigma projects (project details available on request). I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, and Associates in Quality Technology. I am proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Minitab, Visio, Visual FAIR, Net-Inspect, Discus, SAP, TIPQA, REASON® root cause analysis applications, risk assessment/risk management.

●Experienced with ISO 9000 and AS9100 Quality Management systems. Served on committee for AAQG for AS9100 Rev B rewrite. Extensive experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection reports.

Current project include improvement of receiving inspection, Material Review Board processes, source inspection systems, supplier surveillance /supplier audit and process/processor management tool. These tools realized a directorate savings of $ 2.7M for CY 2010. Out-years savings projected to level at approximately $6M - $9M per year.

●Responsible for managing all aspects of the United Space Alliance infrastructure procurement quality assurance function.

●Responsible for the management of four first line managers for Receiving Inspection, Inspection Planning and Assessment, Procurement Quality Engineering, and Field/Source Inspection Representatives (approx. 90 full-time employees with an annual budget of $11M). I sponsored several Lean Six Sigma projects that resulted in a 50% cycle and cost reductions to key department performance metrics.

●Served as a charter member of the USA Supply Chain Management Council and integrated Procurement Quality processes into the PeopleSoft business system implementation.

●Served on staff to the Director of Procurement Business Administration. Developed performance based metrics for the Procurement Director/Process Owner. Developed and released the Metrics Users’ Reference Guide. The metric set served as the primary tool for monitoring directorate performance and improvements. I supported various projects relative to Supply Chain Management Council (SCMC).

●Served as the Safety Quality & Mission Assurance Lead for all Space Flight Operations Contract (SFOC) Phase II transition activities. These activities included the developed major subcontract Statement of Work (SOW), contract data deliverables, and performance-based supplier monitoring metrics.

●Developed company level SQ&MA policies, plans and procedures. Worked with all SFOC program elements to develop program level SQ&MA performance metrics. Developed and released the SFOC SQ&MA Plan. Custodian for SQ&MA contract deliverables.

●Served on-staff to the Vice President of USA SQ&MA for resolution of technical product assurance issues. Served as the quality assurance program manager for major subcontracts (Boeing, ATK Thiokol, Lockheed Martin, Rocketdyne).
