The Mayday Project, Orlando, FL

President (April 2018- Present) 10/2009 – Present

Treasurer (November 2017 – April 2018)

President (Aug 2014 – November 2017)

Vice President (July 2012 – Aug 2014)

Committee Member (Oct 2009 – July 2012)

Currently leading a volunteer team of Lyme patients that promote advocacy by organizing events that bring awareness to the suffering of millions going without proper health care and treatment. I have spent years studying the history, development and current science regarding Lyme disease, both its bacterial and viral properties. Extensive research into cp26 and cp32 along with the linear plasmids has in fact lead to more questions than answers regarding the current position of the governmental, scientific and medical community’s stance on what Lyme disease “is”. We focus on collaborating with other Lyme disease non-profit organizations and others to delve deeper into the truth behind Lyme…and have succeeded in finding the truth. In addition to running patient-centered advocacy events and scientific research conference calls, I’ve also engaged in organizing meeting events that involve facilities, guest speakers, media relations, and vendors who participate at our events. I do believe I can be an objective voice for the patients suffering from Lyme, but one that would not only be willing to make the future a better place for those inflicted, but one that’s also willing and able to work with the past in a constructive manner.

Recent accomplishments include:

Professional meeting with Center for Disease Control (CDC) Director of Infectious Diseases Charles Beard, PhD. We discussed the viral aspect of Lyme disease; the first CDC map from 1982, highlighting proximity to National Guard facilities and armories; patents for the viral antigen tests used to determine Lyme cases (Western Blot and ELISA), which are used to detect specific bacteriophage proteins; and cross-kingdom, mutant recombinant proteins of amber bacteriophages and their creation timeline, including McNamara and Ford Motor Company (Dearborn). Charles Beard acknowledged my concerns on the treatment of Lyme disease and Department of Defense organizations acting as Lyme advocacy organizations.

Administrated a conference call with past President of Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA), Steven Calderwood, where we discussed how their current guidelines could be hindering excellence in care for those suffering from Lyme disease.

Received recognition for outstanding professionalism from Arlington Police Dept. for one of our events.

Managed the production of and scheduling of the Lyme Quilt to be displayed at several events across the country.

Successfully collaborated with several other Lyme disease advocacy groups on

Organized nine patient’s rights rallies in several states with an emphasize on professionalism and respect. Coordinated activities and schedules for team meetings, think tank sessions and successfully implemented strategic plans that included fundraising, vendor selection, pricing, scheduling of events, task management of team members, collaboration with additional participating groups include National Capitol Lyme, Georgia Lyme Disease Association, Patient Centered Care Advocacy Group, Lymedisease.org and San Diego Lyme Support Group. Additionally, I was actively participating on collaboration conference calls to improve the language of the Federal Lyme Bill (21st Century Cures Act) with such groups as: National Capitol Lyme, Tick Borne Disease Alliance (presently known as GLA), Oregon Lyme Disease, Michigan Lyme Disease Association, Partners Against Lyme Disease and Tick borne disease, Florida Lyme Disease Association, Hudson Valley Lyme Disease Association, National Tick-Borne Disease Advocates, Lyme Disease United Coalition

Broadway Bones Inc., Orlando, FL July 2007- Oct 2009

As a small business owner, I was over all operations and bookkeeping for the company. The business was created to provide a more holistic treat for canines. I created the recipe, business plan, marketing, marketing strategy, sales strategy, vendor selection, and accounting methods for the company, which was a signature away from a global sales contract until the global recession hit in 2008/2009.

Additional Experience

In addition to my active involvement in patient’s rights advocacy, I am a homeschooling parent of five extremely gifted children. Three have already graduated from high school, with two of them already receiving their university degrees (Biology/Global Health degree and Culinary Arts Degree). The other two are well advanced beyond grade level and attending our local schools this year in advanced/AP classes. In addition to homeschooling, I am also a leader in our local church body who works with families in distress, assisting with the facilitating of a Bible study group, scheduling and running the Café, and presenting at public speaking engagements. As a community organizer, I was in charge of advertising and implementing social events for the holidays and children’s milestones (Christmas parties, Easter Egg Hunts, Last Day of School celebrations, Fourth of July, Fall Festivals, and New Year’s Day).
