There are four layers are used in flexible pavement –lower most layer is called soil sub grade and upper most layer is called bituminous concrete layer,grangular sub base (G.S.B),Weight mix macadam (W.M.M) and dense bituminous macadam (D.B.M) are used as layers .

Main Equipment are need Highway Greader,roller,highway,excavator (pockland) etc are used.

2.5% slope is generally provide and 7.0 m carriage way is used in National highway(N.H).

According to Indian Road Congress (I.R.C) Maximum slope is provide 7% in India.
