Title: The Robust Frequency Control in an Islanded Micro grid by using Integral Sliding Mode
Controller (ISMC) and Integral Higher Order Sliding Mode Controller (IHO SMC).
Description : In an islanded MG with renewable sources, load change, wind power fluctuation, and sun
irradiation power disturbance as well as dynamical perturbation, such as damping coefficient and inertia
constants, can significantly influence the system frequency, and hence the MG frequency control problem
faces some new challenges. In response to these challenges, robust Integral sliding mode control techniques
are used to develop the secondary frequency control loop. In the proposed control scheme, some micro
sources (diesel engine generator, micro turbine, and fuel cell) are assumed to be responsible for balancing
the load and power in the MG system and It is shown that the IHO SMC approach due to considering
structured/parametric uncertainties provides better performance than the ISMC control method.

Relay Settings and Load Encroachment Feature for Numerical Distance Relays.
Title:
Description : The NUMERICAL DISTANCE REALAY (SEL311C) has been tested for all zonal
reaches and other functions for healthiness. The load on the line has been increased so that locus on the
locus enters zone-4 reach in R-X plane and ensured that blocking. The relay has been tested for zonal
reaches for phase to phase and phase to ground faults in all zones using OMICRON KIT. Further th e
LOAD ENCROCHMENT function has been tested using the OMICRON and ensured the relay settings
applied for a transmission line is safe.
