Position: Maintenance & Tooling Manager

As a Maintenance Manager Safety is the upmost responsibility that I have, then the Preventative and Predictive Maintenance of all machinery and Buildings. I am responsible for all Weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual PMs, this includes all OSHA regulated inspections. I use JD Edwards (ERP) CAM software to maintain all PMs, OSHA inspection/regulations and repairs daily.

2015 I was Instrumental in the development and responsible for the installation and implementation of a $550,000.00 CAPEX for new machinery. I was $22,000.00 under Budget.

I am responsible for three annual budgets - Safety, Tooling and Maintenance

I oversee all outside vendors and follow up on their progress and I make sure that they comply with OSHA and Company Policy for outside contractors.

I oversee three Maintenance Technicians and one Tool & Die Maker. I am responsible for annual reviews, discipline, training and coaching.

I have Received OSHA 10-hour training course for Title 29 CFR 1910 and Arc Flash awareness training (NFPA 70E)

I developed and initiated an Inventory of Critical machine replacement parts to reduce unscheduled down time.

I changed the way Statewide purchased Argon gas Cylinder for Aluminum welding, going from renting a 12 Pack of Argon gas Cylinders to buying in bulk and using a Bulk tank Placed outside. The annual savings is $10,000.00, plus it freed up 48 Square feet of floor space.

I Developed a Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) for all internal and External Tooling. This process stream lined the way we approached and tracked our Tooling by Date released, Date completed, cost, location and the Status of Tooling (Obsolete, Active or Inactive)

As a Tooling Manager, I Managed all Tooling needs and request from Engineering to the Production Floor. I outsourced Jobs as needed and followed up on the progress of all outsourced Tooling.

I was a working supervisor, working with our Engineering department on the development of new Tooling to meet the needs of our customers, this involved R&D and sampling

I was responsible for outsourcing and tracking any Tooling that was not able to be built in house due to time constraints or feasibility... I designed all the Dies and Machines that we built in house.

I had one machinist working for me that I Mentored and schedule his daily objectives, yearly review and Discipline.

I Worked with the Maintenance Department for one-year rebuilding 3 special machines

I changed the type of Tool steel used on the Spring Machines to form the wire from D2 Tool Steel to a powdered metal (9V), which increase its hardness and wear ability by 60%. This proved to be an annual savings of $8,000.00
