Architected and managed enterprise database development projects as well as the day to day operation of information processing systems companywide. Developed and maintained data and reporting systems for multiple internal client departments including accounting, legal, payroll and operations. These applications handled various tasks including client and contract tracking and management, processing and feeding of data to ADP and ERP/CRM systems and creating data required in over 80 call centers around the country.
• Developed and maintained dozens of night batch processing systems for multiple divisions. These divisions each had their own rules and processes while requiring certain shared data and reporting capabilities.
• Managed source code control and coordination of test, QA and production rollouts, including managing the Microsoft Visual SourceSafe database as well as coordinating the synchronization of test and production databases with the DBA staff.
• Managed multiple teams of developers as well as outside consultants and vendors simultaneously. Development teams ranged in size from 2 to 8 and worked on a variety of projects ranging from database applications to traditional multi-tier applications to web-based applications.
• Led an Oracle EBS implementation and developed and maintained interfaces to feed data between production data warehouse systems and ERP systems, including Oracle EBS and Epicor.
• Managed the migration of numerous legacy software systems from Microsoft Access to a Visual Basic and Oracle environment. These systems were originally stand-along applications, one per client, but were migrated to a custom in-house developed application framework. This framework allowed new clients to be brought on board with minimal development effort and allowed consolidated reporting against a data warehouse environment.
