Pivotal member of Texaco’s Strategic Career Development Process Team that developed a career development process for a 1900-person business unit across a three-state area and the Gulf of Mexico Oil Field Operations. Became the prototype for domestic and international operations and foundation of consulting business.
Developed a one-week training program in Russian/English on Tactical, Strategic and Work Force planning for a Texaco international business unit. Workshop was presented with bi-lingual workbooks and leader’s guide to Kazakhstan Oil and government officials to solidify strategic working relationships. Project was completed in less than four weeks during busiest cycle for SME. Multi-level clients with different goals in U.S., London and Kazakhstan.
Initiated and led 17 teams in development of core competency inventory lists for Texaco including oil field operations, four functional areas of engineering and highly specialized technical professions. Evaluation tool was foundation in strategic career development planning.
Facilitated career transition of over 2000 candidates from diverse industries by performing: onsite layoff notification, psychological consulting, emotional readiness, rebranding, resume development, interview preparation, networking, and salary negotiations in Texas, Washington DC metro and Raleigh-Durham market.
Led senior team of 30 managers through 360 degree feedback process. Reviewed and interpreted raw data, provided feedback and co-developed action plan and meetings with employees and boss.
Quickly learned new industry and grew mature biotech territory 27% to Million Dollar mark in first 14 months in position despite shrinking grant funds and intense global competition.
Gathered data and process mapped all key processes for Chase Bank’s largest call center in U.S. with 1500 employees. Data collected by four member team during 3-week project was used to develop new processes as well as upgrade training programs and onboarding processes across the company.
Represented Texaco Inc. on cross-industry Consortium for Supplier Training. Members included Texas Instruments, Bayer, Motorola, Chrysler, Xerox and Kodak as well as a network of community colleges and universities serving as supplier training centers. Planned and hosted Consortium’s quarterly meeting including largest supplier showcase for both the Consortium and Texaco with approximately 200 suppliers from a three state area in attendance.
Key member of a small team that conducted a global gasification benchmark study for Texaco. Completed in three weeks with recommendations that resulted in new organizational design to increase competitiveness.
Conducted bi-lingual focus groups as key member of a team for a 450 employee-based regional business unit of industry leading Food Service Company. Gathered organizational climate, workplace safety and hiring practices used to change processes and practices in all areas of operations to improve efficiency and eliminate legal risks.
Co-developed bi-lingual training CD in a business-education partnership with 2nd largest school district in Texas. Training was an introduction to industrial cooking for school food service employees. Approved by National School Food Service Organization for continuing education credits first month to market.
