Samtec Interconnect Assembly Costa Rica Company dedicated to manufacture electronic products. Production Supervisor June 2013 to now.

Some goals achieved:

A new layout in Hand Fill process was made using processes systems, wherewith the productivity was increased in around 30%

Insertion and fill process were changes to work under the “one piece flow” method increasing the productivity in around 60%

On Time Delivering (OTD) has been increased from 60% to 99% with all the improvement mentioned above.

Alpla Of Costa Rica S.A. Company dedicated to build Plastic Bottles using Injection and blowing Methods Production Manager. February 2012 to June 2013

Electro Plast S.A. Company dedicated to build Plastic medical devices using Injection Molding and assembly methods. Injection Molding Manager. January 2004 to March 2011.

Some goals achieved:

On Time Delivering (OTD) passed from 75% in 2004 to 98.5% in 2010.

% Scrap was reduced from 25000 PPM in 2004 to 3500 PPM in 2010.

Planning, programming and production control system was implemented by myself and I was doing this task for seven years. Also I was responsible for some international purchasing.

I worked with SMED project; changing the average from 2.5 to 0.75 hours.

Some goals achieved:

I achieved important savings in the cycle time of the plaques assembly line until 40% passing of traditional assembly system to one piece flow system.

I achieved 60% saving in work in process (WIP) when we changed the line mentioned before to the Kamban system.

I implemented a raw material control system; with this we had positive balance in the inventory until $5000 per month.

We made an accident control system to pass from 12 accidents per year to 0.5 accidents per year.

I worked in the start up of the new plant in Turrialba, Costa Rica 1999 – 2000.
