Primary liaison between “C-Suite” leaders and Managers of Purchasing, Central Supply, Distribution Center and Couriers for El Paso network (with 73 employees across 4 hospitals and DC).

Responsible for $132M+ in supplies and managing costs/inventories, working w/Nursing units to ensure accuracy / availability of necessary supplies to PAR levels and updating ROP/ROQ thresholds as needed. Successfully eliminated 3rd shift at 2 hospitals thereby standardizing best practice across network and saving $300K/yr.

Coordinated efforts between Central Purchasing group in San Antonio, TX (Capital buyers) and local buyers (Bill Onlys, Facilities and non-file POs) to ensure accurate payment of 1000+ vendors on a timely basis minimizing accruals and other exceptions. Eliminated 3 buyer positions saving $250K.

Absorbed Network Couriers (10 drivers and 1 dispatcher) to ensure critical items are delivered in a timely manner between hospitals, associated service facilities and doctor’s offices. Orchestrated pending acquisition of new fleet to support services (16 veh’s valued at $565K) thereby saving significant downtime and $55K in annual repairs.

Completed domestic (US & Intra-Mexico) Small Pack RFQ to award new 3-year contract. Savings of >$1.5M USD resulting from RFQ negotiations and cost reduction projects.

Led team that successfully launched new 6FMid digital transmission speed sensors for Ford. This design concept/implementation realized a net savings of over $500K USD annually compared to initial 6F design.

Responsible for successful launch of new gear cutting department utilizing face hobbing technology and implementing Ford’s new initiative for self directed work teams.

Validated (in Germany and Switzerland) and placed into production, new CNC gear cutting machines and blade grinders in parallel with CMM machines and overhead gantry systems for face hobbing department.
