Professional Experience
EVENTS MANAGER - FAMILIES USA FOUNDATION – April 4, 1994 – March 17, 2017
I was in charge of organizing the Health Action Conference for 23 years from concept to completion and evaluation. In this position I consulted with clients, booked venues, contacted guests and speakers, assisted in developing the program, promoted the event, liaised with vendors, and supervised the conference coordinator and the conference intern. When on site I supervised the program and made sure everything went smoothly without incident. I also managed the budget, scholarship process, travel and lodging, conference registration and all other logistical matters. Paying close attention to detail allowed me to come in under budget every year.
AS DATA MANAGER
Managed the key advocates list of 400 health activists across the U.S. who are allied with Families USA and drafted and sent emails to our Health Action Network of over 13,000 advocates and other lists when necessary using Salesforce CRM. Also drafted and sent emails to our retail list of advocates of approximately 200,000 as well. Organized files and compiled data to be entered into the computer. Analyzed the data for errors. Reported problems with the data. Accurately entered information into various computer programs. Ran various reports and did trouble shooting when necessary.
AS ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Performed administrative assistant duties to include but not limited to mail distribution, faxing, photocopying, making travel arrangements, and filing.
