Main Project: THERMAL RECLAMATION AND PROPERTY ANALYSIS OF USED FOUNDRY SAND

Review: The true cost of waste is not simply the cost of discarded material.It encompasses inefficient use of raw materials,unnecessary use of labor transportation,space and storage facility.In PEEKAY STEEL CASTING(P) LTD such a problem exists which creates wastage of used foundry sand.This foundry sand can be reclaimed by process called THERMAL RECLAMATION.

The study of thermal sand and fresh silica sand is also conducted.It is found that the THERMAL SAND has similar property as that of fresh silica sand.Thus,the wastage is reduced and pollution,cost &storage is reduced.
