Job Description :

To weld all metal parts like MS, Cast Iron, Brass, Copper, Aluminium, build up Gear Teeth, Cracked Housings of Engine, Gear Boxes, Transmissions, spindles, bushings and cams of vehicles, Jaws & Hoppers with arc welding as & when require.

Gas welding, heating & cutting job with both Gas & Arc.

Hard facing of Buckets, Teeth, Crusher Hammers.

Reviews welding requirements of the department.

Verification of the date valid of welding equipment before production/welding machine/grinder/welding consumables, oven etc.

Co-ordination of welder/operator training activities & work activities.

Collection & supply of welding quality statistics to the HEMM Department.

Update the welding consumables record day to day/controlling of consumable storage as per procedures.

Co-ordination with welder & subcontractors to resolve day to day issue.

Before starting welding activities hot work/height work permits to be taken & follow up the safety rule and regulations.

Supervise & Ensure that all installed fittings are to the correct specification and welders are performing in accordance with approved plan.

Preparation of daily welding activities, welders production welding status.

Supervise the performance of welders on weekly basis by considering no. of repairs & type of repairs and try to minimize the possibilities of repairs.

Do the NDT as & when required.

Experienced with various welding process like SMAW, GTAW, SAW,MIG,FCAW, Brazing & various types of joining materials like similar and dissimilar using any welding process by Manual, Semi-Automatic and Automatic Machine.
