Much of my time was spent managing the budget (payroll and AP/AR) and organizing events. I worked with our Members to ensure their satisfaction with our organization and secured their commitment to retain membership. I was also tasked with overseeing our community Farmers Market, which entailed communication with farming vendors and securing the space and payments. I also worked in a solitary capacity to promote this event in our community.

SPECIAL PROJECTS
Moms Demand Action I have spent time with this group in an effort to make important impacts on legislation that will help protect children in their education environment. I have attended marches and rallies that focus on firearm safety.
Ridgewood Neighborhood Coalition - W e actively fought to maintain a green space in our immediate neighborhood and successfully prevented it from being developed as a group of condos. We worked with the City Council and the Mayor to make sure our concerns were heard. Warren Environmental Advisory Committee - I have worked on this committee to ensure that the previously mentioned green space will meet all the requirements and needs of the community that surrounds it.
Elder Care for Family Member - Due to a desperate need on behalf of my spouse’s family, I was asked to forego my employment in lieu of caring for my aging mother-in-law. As her health was steadily deteriorating, it became apparent someone would need to care for her full time and finances were not readily available to provide professional care. I cared for her from April 2017 until March 2018, when she passed away. Detroit Police Officers Wives Association - As a wife of 22 years to a Detroit Police Officer, this is an association near to my heart. Our group provides care, meals, financial and emotional support to the families of injured and fallen officers.
